Transforming Alcohol Harm Reduction Data Management
Overview
The AB InBev Foundation needed to streamline their data collection and reporting processes across six City Pilot locations implementing alcohol harm reduction strategies. Their manual spreadsheet-based system was labor-intensive, prone to delays, and made data interpretation difficult.
Challenge
ABIF's manual data collection process was labor-intensive and prone to delays. Once collected, data was difficult to interpret and act upon. The organization needed to streamline quarterly data gathering while maintaining simplicity and improving accessibility for program coordinators across multiple locations.
Solution
Infinity designed and built a standalone, server-based web application with a browser frontend to replace legacy spreadsheet systems. The platform included web-based forms replacing Excel spreadsheets, data visualization capabilities, Excel export functionality for further analysis, email notification system for timely submissions, and enhanced data integrity and multi-user collaboration features.

Our Approach
Initially, Infinity prototyped the solution within ABIF's legacy CMS to accelerate development. However, after identifying limitations in scalability and customization, the team pivoted to build a custom system. We collaborated closely with Dalberg Advisors to translate monitoring and evaluation strategies into technical requirements, ensuring the platform met both programmatic and data analysis needs.
